Frequently asked questions
-
Your headshot is often your first impression—whether it’s for recruiters, company websites, or potential clients. A professional headshot shows you’re confident, approachable, and invested in your career.
It’s also a key part of your personal and professional brand. We’ll help you choose a location and style that aligns perfectly with your business, personality, and industry.
Most companies now require professional headshots for LinkedIn profiles, websites, and press releases. Having a polished, high-quality photo ready to go sets you apart instantly.
-
A few simple steps make all the difference.
Get a good night’s sleep before your session.
Plan what to wear a few days in advance so you feel confident and comfortable.
Stay hydrated—your skin photographs best when you’ve had plenty of water.
If you have a beard or facial hair, trim or shape it the night before for clean lines.
-
Choose clothes that fit well, feel great, and reflect your professional image.
Avoid overly tight or loose outfits—well-fitted clothes photograph best.
Stick to solid, mid-tone colors rather than patterns or bright tones.
Neutral colors (like navy, gray, or olive) photograph better than pure black or white.
Avoid sleeveless tops; they can distract from your face.
Iron or steam your outfit before your shoot—wrinkles are the enemy of polish.
-
Professional hair and makeup are recommended before your shoot.
Keep makeup light, natural, and timeless—focus on the eyes and lips.
If you have shiny skin, use a matte or translucent powder (skip anything sparkly).
You’re welcome to bring your own artist or we can recommend trusted local makeup artists who specialize in camera-ready looks.
