01Your retainer

A 50% non-refundable retainer (up to $1,000) holds your date. In other words, the retainer is half of your package price or $1,000, whichever is less.

It isn’t an extra fee. The retainer counts toward your total, so your balance is simply what’s left after the retainer.

02Your balance

The balance is invoiced when your proof gallery is delivered — that’s the full set of previews you choose your favorites from. Your final edited images are delivered once the balance is paid.

Booking for a business? A certificate of insurance (COI), a W-9 and Net-30 invoicing are available for approved business clients. Just ask.

03Rescheduling

Plans change. Please give at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to reschedule. When you reschedule, your retainer stays applied to your new date.

04Cancellations

Your retainer is non-refundable. If you cancel, the retainer is not returned. If you’d rather keep your retainer, reschedule instead: it stays applied to your new date.

Not showing up for your session counts as a cancellation.

05Weather, illness and emergencies

If weather, illness or an emergency on either side gets in the way, we’ll reschedule.

If Jack Robert Photo has to cancel, your retainer is refunded in full or moved to a new date.

06How you can use your images

Every session includes a standard usage license: use your images across your own marketing (your website, social channels, email, print, presentations and your own press) for as long as you need them. Copyright stays with Jack Robert Photo.

Use by another company, resale or stock use needs a separate license, and paid advertising beyond the original scope usually does too. Just ask and it’s quoted separately. The full details are on the Image Licensing page.

07Travel

For headshot, branding and healthcare sessions, travel is priced from our Greenville, SC studio:

• Greenville and the Upstate: included, with no travel fee. That covers Spartanburg, Greer, Simpsonville, Anderson and Clemson too.
• Charlotte, Asheville and Columbia: a flat $150 travel fee
• Charleston: quoted case by case
• Atlanta and farther: quoted based on travel requirements

Other services work a little differently. For architecture, events and video, travel is shown on your booking page or in your quote, and Event Headshot Booth days outside Greenville and the Upstate are quoted per event.

08Rush delivery

Need your images sooner? Rush delivery is a flat $250 on any service, when the calendar allows.
